Kevin Fitzgerald’s First Ocean City Gallery Show and Reception

The Art League of Ocean City cordially invites members of the press to a reception featuring one of the area’s most renowned artists, Kevin Fitzgerald, this Friday, Aug. 1, at the Ocean City Center for the Arts, 94th Street bayside, from 5 to 7 p.m. Gary Leach of the OC Convention Center’s Centerplate Catering will provide refreshments.

The exhibit is installed and “looks amazing” says Art League Executive Director Rina Thaler, and the specially produced, original show catalogue that will be for sale commemorating this gala event is “stunning,” she enthuses.

Earlier in the day at noon, Thaler and Fitzgerald are making a special appearance on the weekly public affairs program, Coastal Connection, on Ocean City’s FM channel WAMU 88.3 in an interview with the show’s reporter, Bryan Russo.

An Eastern Shore resident for 30 years, Fitzgerald is exhibiting his paintings for the first time in Ocean City, and the Arts Center is the perfect venue to showcase 30 of his finest landscape paintings – large evocative studio images that are almost blurred to the abstract and smaller “plein air” paintings he produces in the field. Nationally known, Fitzgerald’s paintings are included in private collections throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia.
