"A Palo Andamos":
this band was formed in 2002 by Juan Pablo Angarita, who is conductor,
arranger and performer. They perform music from the Caribbean zone of
Colombia, using native hand drums, native gaitas, native voice, and drum
set, to present traditional melodies using different rhythms: Porro,
Cumbia, Puya, Son de Chalupa, Fandango and Mapale, among others.
Dance Harrison Street: Always a most popular performance, the twenty
talented students of Dance Harrison Street, ages 10-15, present ballet,
jazz and tap routines with excellence.

ArtHouse Live 48-hour Film Project:
The Premiere of "Footage", AHL's entry this year in the National Film Challenge.
(... you get a character, a film genre, a line of dialogue and a prop --- you write,
shoot, edit and submit it in one weekend … sure!) The filmmakers and participants
will be on hand to discuss this physical/creative competition.
Curt Heavey accompanies Buster Keaton films: (This program is sponsored by the
Chesapeake Film Festival.) Master guitarist Curt Heavey has composed scores to
accompany three of Keaton's silent film shorts: The Scarecrow, The Paleface &
One Week. Each riotously funny film runs about 20 minutes, while Curt plays
his score on guitar and banjo. Good old fashioned fun for all ages!
St. Michaels High School Chamber Ensemble: This young ensemble is comprised
of three exceptional musicians: Willoughby Buxton and Avery Noyes
on violin, with Molly Hickman on cello. They will perform a wonderful
wintry mix of seasonal music, along with favorites from their remarkable
repertoire of classical and contemporary pieces. Music director Don Buxton
will accompany on piano - look for surprise guests!

Family Holiday Magic Show is guaranteed to amaze young and

Stephanie Nakasian with the Hod O'Brien Group & featuring 13 yr. old Veronica Swift -
Internationally known jazz vocalist Stephanie performs with spouse, acclaimed jazz
pianist Hod O'Brien, and their talented daughter, singer Veronica Swift. Ever busy,
Stephanie and Hod have just returned from a tour in Russia; Veronica tours with the
Young Razzcals Jazz Project. Appearing with the group is a talented local,
Dr. Chris Levey on bass.
Rich Potter: Appearing as "Bert the Nerd", Rich is a born
entertainer who has wowed audiences of all ages in over 20 countries. Seen on
Letterman, and performing at Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus,
his comedy, juggling, balancing & unicycling will leave you marveling!

You'll see dance demonstrations, have lessons and be able to try some of the greatest Latin dances:
Tango, Merengue, Mambo, Cha-Cha and Samba, as well as the Lindy Swing and Ballroom styles.
Fun for all ages, and no partner required. Professional dancer Amanda Showell
is host/teacher.

for the Crab Drop Countdowns: 9pm - "Midnight in the Mid-Atlantic"
and the traditional Community Crab Drop Countdown at Midnight.
"Kidsinger Jim" will be outdoors entertaining the gathering crowds for both Crab Drops.

ArtHouse Live Monologue Competition -
The second annual AHL competition will feature a number of the community's
finest actors performing their own choices of monologue --- competing for cash prizes!

Dragon Wings The Easton puppeteering duo of Debra Hathaway and Eric Heath
teams up with local musician and children's author Sue Loweree to bring her book
"Butterflies Don't Bark" to the stage. And, don't miss their "fractured"
version of the classic fairy tale "Three Billy Goats Gruff".
